Today, we honor Spencer Koyle, a lifelong firefighter who tragically lost his life on August 17, 2006, while battling the Devil’s Den Fire. Spencer dedicated his life to public service, starting as a firefighter during high school and continuing his career with the US Forest Service and BLM Utah. He was a beloved husband, father, and mentor, whose legacy lives on through the lessons he taught and the lives he touched.
