"Remembering Satoru Iwata" is a talk I (Lucas M. Thomas) gave at Long Island Retro Gaming Expo in August 2024. I'm uploading it now to YouTube for posterity, and to somberly mark the milestone that Mr. Iwata has now been gone for over a decade — he passed away on July 11, 2015.
This presentation discusses his life and legacy, as well as the process involved in writing The Impact of Iwata. All proceeds from sales of the book in July and August will be donated to The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, a charity dedicated to boosting awareness and researching prevention for bile duct cancer, the disease that stole Mr. Iwata away from us at just 55 years old.
