The 2026 National March for Life is dedicated to Ambrose and Edna Atkins, the poster couple of the Canadian pro-life movement.
The Atkins shunned the limelight but were at every pro-life event over the pat 50 years until ill health restricted them.
Ambrose served as the Co-Chair of the National March for Life until his passing. Edna started a bookstore for pro-life and faith-filled books.
Both witnessed to life on the streets regularly, holding vigil outside the Civic Hospital; both regularly attended pro-life events over decades; both were thinkers, doers, and pray-ers for all God's people.
