Remember Me: The Life of Lucretia Robinson Bray tells the story of Lucretia, my great great great grandmother, and the stitching that led me to her. It is a companion to the newly released chart, Lucretia Robinson's Needlebook, originally created for the Attic's 2024 Summer School.
PDF charts for Lucretia Robinson's Needlebook are available at katie-strachan.com/shop
Stitches used: cross over 2, cross over 1, backstitch, wrapped backstitch, and lazy daisy stitch. Tutorials for wrapped backstitch and lazy daisy stitch are included with the chart.
Called for threads are a mixture of Soie Gobelins and Soie 100/3, but full conversions to Soie d'Alger and DMC are included with the chart.
Needle in a Haystack, Traditional Stitches, and Hoop & Frame all stock the called for Gobelins, 100/3, and Legacy Linen, but any LNS can order the materials for you.
The companion talk, The Things They Kept: The Life & Service of Thomas Bellman Bray, is available as a special presentation to guilds.
A short synopsis of Thomas' story can be found at katie-strachan.com/huswife
