If you haven’t played Dark Souls in a while, don’t worry. There’s a new game in town that’s bringing back the “corpse run” mechanic—Mina the Hollower.

Implementing this death style in-game takes players’ fears and ratchets them up to 10. Not only do you risk dying when you’re exploring new and dangerous territory; you put yourself in situations to potentially lose all of your XP and money.

Plus, on the same theme of things you may have seen in games before? The spike rooms in Zelda have gotten an anxiety-fueled makeover in Mina’s version, transforming those low-stakes retries into something much, much more nerve-wracking.
