I was called out in the early morning to come and catch this Siamese Spitting Cobra (Naja siamenis) in someones yard. The home owner stayed with the snake till I arrived and made sure he doesn't loose sight of it. This made for a very quick and easy capture.
Siamese Spitting Cobras are the most common cobra species in our area, and one of the most frequently encountered venomous snakes. They have a potent venom that has both cytotoxic and neurotoxic properties.
