People's interest in Religion is massively declining. There are clear reasons for the decline. We discuss those reasons, how decreasing interest in religion is affecting cultures and how the factors decreasing in religion (increased economic security, sexual freedom, abortion, birth control) are seen as an attack on religion.
Ronald Inglehart is the Lowenstein Professor of Political Science emeritus at the U. of Michigan. He is director of the World Values Survey, a global network of social scientists who have carried out representative national surveys of the publics of over 100 societies on all six inhabited continents, containing 90 percent of the world's population.
