For Autobleem copy the flycast folder to usb:/Apps
For Project Eris, copy the flycast folder to usb:/project_eris/etc/project_eris/SUP/launchers
Place your Dreamcast games in the roms folder. you can add more rom paths in the Settings General tab. you can navigate the menu with a controller, mouse or keyboard.
to enable Rumble support, goto Settings ๐ก Controls and change one of the Sega VMU to Purupuru. basically keep one Sega VMU and the other Purupuru. you can set this while in game
Pressing reset will quit the App. you can change this in Settings ๐ก Controls and set Exit to whatever key you like. Ive also added a Exit button on the Gui.
To scrape Boxart you will need Wifi enabled. i'll provide my boxart folder later but it's incomplete though
๐ฎ๐ฉ๐๐๐ญ๐: here's my boxart folder, you can dump it in home/.local/share/flycast/boxart

A Dreamcast Bios is not required but having it can increase compatibility. If you don't have any Bios, just launch a game and it'll automatically run it in HLE mode. You can enable this manually at Settings ๐ก Advanced and checkmark HLE BIOS.
if you have the Dreamcast bios, place your dc_boot.bin file in
home/.local/share/flycast
there's also a bios for Naomi and AtomisWave. the filenames are naomi.zip and awbios.zip. There's also naomi2.zip and naomigd.zip but im not familiar with these types of games.
By default the Dreamcast SH4 Clock is set to 200 MHz. lowering it can improve FMV playback however it can cause slowdown.
I've added a Auto FMV Clock option that automatically underclock the CPU to 100 MHz when it detect a FMV playing and it reverts it back to 200 MHz when it stops
Lowering the resolution can improve performance in some games. For example, changing the res in Capcom vs SNK 2 to 480x360 can achieve 60fps and it fixes that bug that causes artifacts. you can probably get away with 512x384 too.
Setting the Transparent Sorting to Per Strip seems to improve performance a bit.
There's no option for Bezels, however there is Lua support. So if you know how to code in lua you can do all types of things. there's also lua scripts available. I've included a bezel.lua script that you can enable in the Settings Advanced Tab by entering bezel.lua in the lua section. you have to close and reopen the app for it to take effect though.

![[GUIDE] How to Shrink GDI images for Dreamcast / Flycast
๐๐๐ข๐ญ: after further testing it appears the chd issue was mainly a issue with my USB stick. I tested the CVS2 chd on my main ext4 USB and it plays it the same as gdi. Still the guide below is useful for those who want to shrink gdi.
As some of you know, Dreamcast GDI and CDI images are very large, theyre usually always 1.10 GB or 700MB if its in the CDI format. The reason is because they would pad the disc to expand it to the maximum size of the disc.
CHD compression is good at reducing the size but it can cause a performance hit on some games. In this video youll notice frequent pauses in Capcom vs SNK 2 when its compressed with chd. when its uncompressed with GDI it plays much smoother.
A solution to this is to shrink the GDI to remove the dummy data. It wont be as small as chd but its uncompressed and in the case of CVS2 it shunk it down to 226mb which is what it would be without the dummy data.
Here are the tools needed to shrink a GDI image
gditools: https://github.com/einsteinx2/gditools
Python 2.7: https://www.python.org/download/releases/2.7/
Basically download gditools by clicking Code ๐ก Download Zip, then extract the gditools-master.zip.
Next install Python 2.7, once thats done copy your Dreamcast game folder into the gditools-master folder, finally double click on shrink_all.bat and follow the on screen instructions and itll automatically shrink your game [GUIDE] How to Shrink GDI images for Dreamcast / Flycast](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/kPNrJRBtS6E/mqdefault.jpg)
