Bob DeWaay analyzes and rejects the claims found in The Benedict Option by Rod Dreher. Rather than being the light of Jesus, as Dreher claims, monasticism was utter darkness. Bob claims that it is a rejection of the authority of Scripture and the promises of God.
This clip is from a podcast episode about John Mark Comer's book, Practicing the Way. Comer also cites "Saint" Benedict approvingly.

The full episode will be available 3/23/2026.
