Reina de Cumbia CDMX21 in Los Angeles was a one-of-a-kind 5 day experience that was as fun as it was informative.
We celebrated and showcased the depth of cumbia music in Mexico City since the turn of the century and explored its evolution. This unique music and art showcase was designed to unravel the narrative of how the fusion of digital production, hyper-connectivity, and cultural resistance made Mexico City one of the most vibrant and innovative cultural capitals of the 21st century. Reina de Cumbia was a moveable feast consisting of an art exhibit, a panel discussion, a music production workshop, keynote speakers, and live shows that celebrated the rich history of cumbia music.
