As I grow through pregnancy and motherhood, it's wild to think back on little me, pregnant at 23 for the first time... I truly believe motherhood has been the greatest catalyst for positive change, inner work, healing and growth in my life and I am so grateful for it.

🌈The best thing you can do to prepare for motherhood is not decorate a nursery and buy baby clothes on Etsy, it's to learn how to listen to your intuition.

🌈Just because everyone else is doing it, doesn't mean it's for you. (Or your baby.) You know best and you can trust yourself.

🌈God chose you for this child and this child for you. Becoming the highest version of yourself is necessary for you both.

🌈You must RUTHLESSLY eliminate hurry from your life. This might sound like an impossible feat in our modern, noisy, endlessly distracted world... but simplicity is the path to your healing and thriving.

🌈Say no. Everything is optional no matter what and the more pressure and ick you feel about something, the more you don't feel "right" about it, the more reason to say no. You can always say yes later when it is right... or not. Everything you say yes to is actually a no to something else.

🌈Less is more. You don't need more hacks, more gadgets, or to work harder to get it all done. The thing you have to learn is SUBTRACTION not ADDITION. Take out more than you put in. Toys. Media. Adult content.

🌈Side. Lying. Breastfeeding. Look it up.

🌈Never throw in the towel on something you feel convicted about on a bad day.

🌈You are enough. You're enough socialization for your baby. You're enough warmth and nourishment. You're enough.

🌈The best is still out in front of you and it gets easier.

🌈Break any rules you want, don't take it too seriously.

🌈Childhood is short, and it's not just prep school for "getting ahead" in adulthood. It's mystical, magical and filled with its own meaning and value apart from standards, curriculums, milestones or tests.

🌈You're going to get rid of the crib and everything else in the nursery and on the registry and be so much happier for it.
