Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) such as electroencephalograms (EEGs) and electrocorticograms (ECoGs) can provide more detailed information about the brain. This information can help guide more tailored treatments following injury from events such as a stroke. As these techniques develop, so do potential ethical challenges alongside potential life-changing treatments.
