In this quick After Effects tutorial, I show you how to create and animate a 3D cube in After Effects with a refracting sphere inside. We add a new shape layer, then turn it into a 3D layer. After adjusting the anchor point, we add all the sides. We use a Null object to rotate the cube.
The sphere inside the cube is a 2D layer. Using a slightly different sphere for each side creates the refractions.
