Reform UK has announced a plan to give taxpayers a £30 tax bill credit if they are left on hold to HMRC for more than 30 minutes.

Speaking in London, shadow treasury spokesman Robert Jenrick slammed the tax authority's customer service, warning senior officials their pay and jobs will be tied to call performance.
