Woman Stands Shining (Pat McCabe) spoke at our Reforest Our Future: Panel Discussion which was hosted in October 2020. Pat McCabe (Weyakpa Najin Win, Woman Stands Shining) is a Diné (Navajo) mother, grandmother, activist, artist, writer, ceremonial leader, and international speaker. On 27th October, Pat joined a powerful Treesisters panel discussion. The panel included Diana Beresford Kroeger (Botanist and author), Osprey Orielle Lake (WECAN), Dr Kinari Webb (Health in Harmony), Jayn Sterland (MD Weleda, UK & Ireland) and was hosted by Clare Dubois (Founder of TreeSisters).

In this video clip, Woman Stands Shining talks about the ramifications of exploring our freewill and consent. She’s saying “If this is a freewill construct, we need to watch for where our consent is overridden. We are in a power over paradigm, might makes rights, you must overcome someone else, dominance”. Woman Stands Shining compares this with Mother Earth as being set up entirely for a collaborative system.
