Osprey Orielle Lake is the Founder and Executive Director of the Women's Earth and Climate Action Network (WECAN) International and Co-Director of the Indigenous Women's Divestment Delegations. On 27th October, Osprey joined a powerful TreeSisters panel discussion. The panel included Diana Beresford Kroeger (Botanist and author), Pat McCabe (Women Stands Shining), Dr Kinari Webb (Health in Harmony), Jayn Sterland (MD Weleda, UK & Ireland) and was hosted by Clare Dubois (Founder of TreeSisters).

In this video clip Osprey tells the story of a speech made by Ena Santi, a Sarayaku women from Ecuador, speaking at the discussions around the Paris Agreement that were a part of a delegation WECAN brought to the speak. Osprey quotes Ena Santi “We women can do anything. We run through the jungle at night with our babies on our backs to protect our forest. We will stand anywhere. We are descendants of the Jaguar. We women can do anything.” Osprey goes on to remind us we are all descendants of the animals and plants, of the Jaguar.
