This is the third stage, gets pretty hectic here: Seems like you're up again George Lucas' personal space fleet here. Amazing stage, the purple homing lasers that come out of nowhere added with missiles are a pain in the ass.
A little about gameplay:
You have armor that can take up to couple hits, also you have a shield that you activate by pressing X. Using shield will drain away your power making your attack weaker, you can't fire while using shield either. Also while using shield you're vulnerable purple bullets and physical objects like ships or missiles. To regain power you'll have to stop shooting for a while, it gets tricky with timing later on the game.
