Reflective Rolodex Week 28 is a quiet celebration of growth—from the tender steps of an introverted artist to a slightly more confident teacher who's found purpose in helping others play, explore, and create with paper. This week, I share a bit about that journey and the joy of opening up through passion and connection.
In the creative portion, I return to my marker covered tin foil from Week 27 and find unexpected results I wanted to share with you. Then, the bit I had intended to try, with a smoldering skewer and a careful hand, I explore the beauty of burned detail—revealing a surprising and expressive result that blends texture, shadow, and storytelling in unexpected ways. I am reminded of summer's past, a celebration of the senses.
This process turned into some fun techniques. but ultimately don't forget to trust your own instincts, honor your pace, and embrace the art that flows when you give yourself permission to try new and something bold.
