Today, I'm here to get reflective and take a look at my year in reading and how the content I consumed reflected the seven principles of Kwanzaa.

1. Umoja: Unity. A book that centred the upliftment of African-descended folks.
2. Kujichagulia: Self-Determination: A book with an African-descended LGBTQ character who inspired you b/c they were determined AF.
3. Ujima: Collective Work and Responsibility. A book in which a diverse group of characters worked together toward a goal.
4. Ujamaa: Cooperative Economics. A book that got you thinking about sharing economic resources.
5. Nia: Purpose. A book in which an African-descended character found or developed their purpose.
6. Kuumba: Creativity. A book in which an African-descended character demonstrated power through creativity
7. Imani: Faith. – A book that strengthened your faith.
