So I revisited the salt storage method for my ferrous oxide. I did a "harvest" on one of my production bottles and got a decent amount of ferrous oxide. so I decided to experiment.
I figured there was enough for 3 good samples.
The first I did a hard boil down of the salt-iron(II)oxide mixture - this produce a nice marble textured salt bed. On first glace it seems promising, the iron oxide is dispersed relatively well.
For the second I added a bunch of vinegar -
