What is refeeding and why do you need to do it?
Refeeding is the term used to describe eating and drinking for the next few days following a fast.
What is the refeeding syndrome?
The refeeding syndrome is the boogie man of the extended fasting community. It is used as a scarecrow to scare new fasters into compliance.
How to break a dry fast and what to eat
EAT small amounts of food, start with very digestible foods, try to limit portions.
If 3-Day Dry Fast
Anything under a 3-day dry fast is not considered to be a dangerous extended fast, in the fasting community.
If 5+ Day Dry Fast
If you’re getting into the 5 days and up you are getting into serious dry fasting territory and you need to take much more care.
Tips and Tricks for Dry Fasting Refeeding:
Hard to eat controlled portions, being aware of the urge is the first step.
Fight the urge to eat unhealthy food.
Try and eat Keto for the full refeed duration while starting with very digestible foods.
200ml of food at one time (think small snacks of healthy food) and to avoid salt for the first few days.
