THIS was a tough one. I saw "Extraction" while I was living in Japan and loved this still, quiet scene so much when I saw it that I wanted to recreate it. It's the HARDEST thing I've ever shot by myself. There were something like 4 different angles per character, plus I had to grow out my beard (remember THAT video??) and then shave between setups. The lighting is ok, but I really am disappointed that I didn't give myself an eye light when I was playing Tyler. You can't see what's going on there at all.
A COUPLE NOTES:
I flipped the original scene horizontally because if I shot it as it was in the original, my Bells Palsy side would have been lit, and nobody wants that.
Also, the shot of Tyler being most emotional I used a take that didn't match the original, as you'll see in the side-by-side comparison I'll post tomorrow.
