This is my first ever redstone tutorial and is going to be the first out of many hopefully. I have been using redstone for approximately 6 or 7 months now and know how hard it is to find a good tutorial video which will take you through all the basics of redstone. So I have devised this little series which will give you a headstart on using redstone and as we go on our journey I will show you some of the uses of the things I teach you. We will also cover some of the more advanced NEW redstone devices like Instant wire and the BUD switch aswell as possibly GPS systems using minecraft and lots of other little gems which you'll just have to wait for. But we all have to start from somewhere and that place is here in tutorial number 1.

EDIT: Something I kind of forgot to mention is that devices that power other blocks (apart from redstone torches) will also power the block beneath the block they power. So if you have a pressure plate on a block, and underneath that block you have redstone wire, when the pressure plate is activated the redstone wire will turn on.

Here you go guys and enjoy! =D
