I decided to redraw a scene from one of my favourite songs ever, by one of my favourite artists ever. This entire visual album is so special to me, and so one night I redrew this frame on a whim. I tried a new value style, which was actually really exciting. Do you guys like it? I’ve been wanting to make fanart for Build a Problem for a while, and would love to make more. Should I?
Anyway-happy happy New Years everyone!! Here’s to finishing 2021, and the year to come! :D

Fun fact: “When” has been one of my favourite songs in the world for years, and I fell into an obsession with listening to only that song just before Build a Problem came out. When it did, I blindly let the album play in order for the first time, not looking at the song titles. At the end of “Sorry”, after being torn open by the words and melody, to my surprise, I began to hear that familiar melody of “When” fade in. Long story short-I started bawling. I was still sixteen at the time, and the lyrics about being my age hit me like a ton of bricks. I just thought that was a neat experience.
