Celine Dion and her music are universally loved by legions of dedicated fans, crossing continents and languages, including American Sign Language (ASL). Working closely with Director Irene Taylor on I AM: CELINE DION – Prime Video’s most popular documentary – Sony Music learned that ASL is an expression very close to Taylor’s heart. In 2019, Taylor founded The Treehouse Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to accessibility in film (including score) for deaf, hard of hearing, blind and low-vision audiences. Taylor now brings her love of music and accessibility to all twenty tracks of the I AM: CELINE DION (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) with ASL videos performed by deaf artist Angela “AV” Vilavong. Directly interpreting the lyrics and Redi Hasa's instrumental score into ASL (with inflections of LSQ, the sign language used by members of the Francophone communities of Canada), Vilavong’s performance energetically and emotionally delivers a new music experience for both deaf and hearing people around the world. Vilavong is a passionate Deaf Interpreter, ASL performer and accessibility advocate. She has graced the stages of many music festivals including Bonnaroo, Coachella, and Austin City Limits. She can often be found performing some of her favorite songs on Instagram and TikTok.

Her revelations and anguish become a testament to the power of music and deep resilience of the human spirit.
