An interesting design, which I found a while ago, but it's still useful.
Only works in Version 1.5-1.15 in Java Edition.
Make sure to have at least 2 of those filters next to each other.

Its a very niche mechanic I found a while ago while testing cobble stone generators, which you can also see in a video. Only time will tell, whether this new strat is useful for other things as well.
