Every now and then a piece of production equipment evolves into a must-have part of your production kit. The Red Star Versa-clamp fits the bill from everything to a mic or speedlight holder, a cue-card clamp, DSLR style field recorder mount, etc. etc...the options for this thing seems almost limitless. It has rubberized grips and a 1/4" and 3/8" adapter for light stands and tripods, a flexible ball head attachment point, it mounts to rails and small branches, great for holding backdrops and gobos, LED monitors and lights...totally secure and strong.
