There is trouble out at the Barton Ranch. Carson and his men want to buy out Barton and his wife but aim to take over the ranch, by force if necessary. The situation calls for Red Ryder to come to their aid.
Reed Hadley was born in Petrolia, Texas in 1911 to Bert Herring, an oil well driller, and his wife Minnie. He was, however, reared in Buffalo, New York. Before moving to Hollywood, he acted in Hamlet on stage in New York City, a last-minute substitute for the scheduled actor who failed to appear to portray Fortinbras.
In the 1950s, Hadley played Chad Remington on radio in Frontier Town. He also was one of the actors who portrayed cowboy hero Red Ryder on the Red Ryder radio series during the 1940s and appeared on Tales of the Texas Rangers on radio.
Hadley went on to star and guest star on six television series including Wagon Train. His 35-year film career included such movies as Highway Dragnet and The Half-Breed. He also narrated several documentaries throughout his career till his death from a heart attack in 1964.
