On July 2nd 2014 I posted the very first episode of Red Lights, it feels surreal being here 10 years later finally announcing that I will be remaking the series!
This has been a secret project in the works since 2022 when I had the shocking realization that 2024 would mark the 10 year anniversary! Ideally I planned for the first episode to be posted today but as a lot of you are aware my health declined dramatically in 2023 and I was hospitalized which pumped the breaks of this project a great deal.
But I promise you no matter how sick I was I never stopped working on it! Ironically the first day I got out of the hospital one of the first things I got was a notepad so I could start writing all my ideas and plans out.
I'd be waking up in the middle of the night in the pitch black grabbing my pen and writing down an idea.. then come morning look at it and have no idea what I'd even written BUT! I think that proves how passionate I've been about this!
I first created the characters Velvet & Diesel when I was 11, I started writing some ideas for the series when I was 12 and then left it untouched for years until I happily stumbled a crossed it in 2014.
I didn't worry about getting the best props, unflawed pets, fancy lighting or even having a script! I just woke up one day with a rough outline of what the story would be, grabbed some LPS and sat down to film having no idea it would ever even be seen by 100 people let alone the over 1 million views it has today
I also want it to be clear to anyone who may be worried... this remake will never replace the original Red Lights nor will I EVER take it off my channel! The original may make my skin crawl from the cringe but it's still my baby and I love it just as it is. But I'm very grateful to be given the opportunity to rework the story and polish up a few issues that have always bugged me.
