In this video we take a look at a first gen RecTec Grill Controller. This controller has issues with temperature reading and while being removed the ribbon cable was broken. I enjoy working on some of the RecTec controllers (or Recteq as they are called now). They had to change the name pretty early on as the business was growing fast and needed to trademark the name. RecTec was already trademarked apparently. The cool thing is Recteq head quarters is only a couple miles down the road from me here in the Augusta, Georgia area. They are literally just down the road. We will try to repair the ribbon cable and connect it up to 120V for testing and I will share how I typically test them with you in this video.
