A little bit of audio history was made on December 11th when we recorded Lydia Kavina to x-ray film at The Horse Hospital.
Lydia is a member of the Theremin family, was taught by Leon Theremin himself and is one of the best players in the world.
Here she is being accompanied by Thomas Ang, playing Rachmaninoff whilst Aleks Kolkowski cuts the performance to x-ray film as part of our X-Ray audio exhibition. The exhibition is devoted to the bootlegs of forbidden music made on x-ray during the cold war era in the Soviet Union.
