Sound Ideas is recording crash sounds. A large variety of items were involved in the session - including everything from breaking glass and to large impacts - all recorded either on location or in the studio. On this particular day, we tried something new... crash sounds in an empty dumpster!
Recording the tossing of various heavy objects into a dumpster created particularly juicy sounds with lots of resonance - the unique natural reverberation helped to emphasize the crash sounds. We also took a hatchet to old window panes and glass doors.
