Sound Ideas took to the Joyride 150 Indoor Bike Park to record the sound effects of BMX bikes on a variety of surfaces. We recorded all types of passbys, and we also strapped a mic on a BMX to record the unique ride-along sound effects generated as the cyclists put their skills to the test. We put them through their paces at the BMX style bike park with massive quarter pipes, spines, rails, drop-ins and bowls. Our sound engineers recorded the sound effects of the bike park's pump tracks, including tight banked corners, rollers and table tops. We even recorded the sound effects of the mountain bikes landing in the bike park's foam pits.
