Update: Closed October 2018.
Combining their passion for music with a take on historic missions, Steven Guerrero, Ryan Garduno and Jessie Cevera invite any weary traveler or passerby to stop in. Stepping in though the large, heavy double doors, Christian themes such as crucifixes and church pews materialize as your eyes adjust to the light. This shop might not be on the brochure of historic missions in California but people here find shelter from the sun as their moods are uplifted by music and new discoveries.
Connecting over beef jerky and vinyl records (they’ll tell you the story if you ask!), Steven Guerrero and Ryan Garduno formed a partnership and established The Record Mission in 2016. The mission? Simply their ambition to share the art of music by curating music on the vinyl format and make it available to customers while fighting hunger in their own backyard. I think that’s a mission any of us can get behind!
