The Belvedere Summerhouse and Umbrella Structure—rustic landmarks lost for a century—have been reconstructed by the #CentralParkConservancy and are now open for your enjoyment! 🎉 Crafted from black locust wood, these structures provide opportunities for rest and reflection, and maximize the views both onto the structure itself and out toward the surrounding landscapes, as originally intended by Park designers Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux.
