Lately I've been feeling the pressure to redeem the brokenness in my seasons by pushing through. I’ve tried to plan things out and take control only to realize it’s not in my hands. It’s caused questions, hurt, frustration, disappointment and many sleepless nights. However, in these moments I’ve come to recognize that being hurt by hard seasons does not diminish the character of God. Just as David illustrates in the Psalms, sometimes strength is found when sitting in the broken things and asking why they had to break. Speaking honestly about our seasons does not strip God of His ability to redeem all things. It's a crazy thing to wrap your head around, but think about it this way -- when we pray "this is hard" He replies, "I know, and you don't have to do hard things alone".
