By being able to have an accurate prediction of when the next recession is, you could avoid major loses and be ready to invest when all stocks and assets are really cheap. First Inverted Bond Yield Curve
Normal Yield curve
Long term Bonds have a higher yield or return then a short term bond
Inverted Yield curve
Short term bonds have a higher yield then a long term bond
Inverted yield curves have often resulted in a recession happening 2 years after they are observed
Second Google Trends
People are searching the word Recession a lot similar to what they were doing before the 2008 recession
Third Job Losses
To Prepare for the Recession in 2020, if you see a lot of people losing jobs around you with company lay offs, its a good sign that the recession may be coming around

Recessions happen every 7-10 years, we are about 11 years after 2008 meaning we are ripe and due for a Recession in 2020
