Social Media–and, by default, social media research–has changed tremendously since the Institute for Rebooting Social Media (RSM) officially launched in 2022. In what ways have the conversations around social media changed? And now that AI is in the picture, how might this new technology influence the social landscape?

This capstone event for the end of the RSM program explores the evolution of social media research over the last few years, and aims to pose questions and create new opportunities for collaboration in the social media research space. James Mickens (RSM Co-Faculty Director & BKC Director) moderates this panel, featuring RSM community members Joe Bak-Coleman, Kate Klonick, and David Nemer.
