This episode is a talk followed by a Q&A session at the Porcupine Freedom Festival (PorcFest XXII) conducted entirely in German, featuring Martina Held. The event was attended by about 15 Germans who had traveled to New Hampshire from Germany and Austria for PorcFest.

Neue Heimat:
Das Treffen „Neue Heimat“ (New Homeland), soll ein Gespräch mit Martina Held über Geschehnisse die im 19ten Jahrhundert mit einer einzigartigen und erfolgreichen Kolonisation von Deutschen im Süden Chiles am Llanquihue See (Lago Llanquihue) geschehen ist. Die Motivation war eine bessere Zukunft für die Familie und Nachkommen aufzubauen. Das ist wohl der gleiche Grund, weshalb wir Heute auch neue Horizonte suchen. Eine schwierige und unfreie Alte Heimat aufgeben und eine Neue Heimat suchen. Die Veranstaltung findet auf Deutsch statt. Martina ist dieses Jahr aus ihrer Heimat Chile zu ihrem zweiten PorcFest gereist, um die Woche mit freiheitsliebenden Menschen zu verbringen und am deutschen Zeltplatz zu campen. Martina ist Chilenin der fünften Generation, die mit deutschen Wurzeln aufgewachsen ist. Die Hauptsprache in Chile ist Spanisch aber sie spricht auch Deutsch. Sie ist Landwirtin und lebt auf dem Land und so ist sie auch mit der Zeit AnCap geworden. Ihre Vorfahren und Sie wissen sehr wohl, was schlechte, kollektivistische und große staatliche Regierungen anstellen können.

The “New Homeland” (Neue Heimat) meeting will be a conversation with Martina Held about events that took place in the 19th century with a unique and successful colonization of Germans in southern Chile on Lake Llanquihue. The motivation was to build a better future for the family and descendants. This is probably the same reason why we are seeking new horizons today: to give up a difficult and unfree old homeland and search for a new one. The event will be held in German. Martina traveled from her home country of Chile this year for her second PorcFest to spend the week with freedom-loving people and camp at the German campsite. Martina is a fifth-generation Chilean who grew up with German roots. The main language in Chile is Spanish, but she also speaks German. She is a farmer and lives in the countryside, and so over time she too became AnCap. You and your ancestors know very well what bad, collectivist, and big-government governments can do.
