I guess my car is a magnet for bad drivers. This is the third time my vehicle has been hit by an inattentive driver. Because I've been hit so many times, I've become very paranoid and look in my rear-view mirror every time I come to a stop.
This time I predicted the vehicle was not going to stop in time, and tried to move forward. It wasn't enough and contact was still made. I knew the oncoming traffic was stopped and that is why I proceeded to roll into that lane. Still, a dangerous move on my part but I was focused on not hitting the vehicle directly ahead of me.
As for the damage, it was very minor so I decided not to fix it. At this rate, I'm sure I'll be hit again! The girl was very apologetic and reminded me of my niece so I wasn't angry towards her. It could've been much worse and I was glad neither of us were injured.
