This is the strangest dark gray propolis I've ever seen. The bees made it in the last two days. When I took the lid off the colony I thought I had caulk that had disintegrated and gone bad on the lid. Almost feels like they're gathering from a tar like substance. So far I haven't seen it in any other hives in the yard.
