TALK TITLE: The Hierarchy of Being: Embodying our Virtual Selves
SPEAKER: Yelena Rachitsky (Executive Producer of Experiences, Oculus)
TALK ABSTRACT: I'll take an interdisciplinary approach to investigating how the body, movement, and presence of others can deliver immersion and specific behaviors in VR. The talk will bridge academic ideas with currently available VR experiences to connect ideas around embodiment, environment, and social interactions, making a strong case around the need for academics and content creators to work more closely together.
