In this video, I'm showing you my process for using the Oil on Canvas brushes for Procreate to paint roses in an oil paint style! Achieving a richly textured, dimensional, and realistic oil paint style digitally is almost effortless with these oil brushes and a few handy techniques I'll show you in this tutorial/process/paint-with-me video. From sketch to finished piece, I show you how I select and tweak colors, layer paint, and smudge and blend to get that smeary oil paint effect. Plus, I'll demonstrate how I incorporate the thick paint brush strokes - with realistic highlight and shadows - to really bring the oil paint effect to life.
