Omni's going to attempt to make realistic sculpts of the Gen 8 Starter Pokemon, which will be finished in photoshop. The benchmark for realism is the design approach used in Detective Pikachu.
Don't worry, Rayman ReSmashified is going to continue, we're just taking a break so we can branch out a bit and do some needed planning for Rayman before continuing.
