Real World History RUINED The Little Mermaid's Moral! || Disney’s 2023 live-action remake of The Little Mermaid -- despite personal gripes -- impressed me with the direction they decided to take Halle Bailey’s Ariel. So much that it felt like they realized the change gave them the perfect opportunity to do a better job addressing racism, race relations, bigotry and intolerance than their 1995 insulting retelling of the life of Pocahontas without degrading real-life people or an entire race of people in the process. And Disney would have succeeded in achieving that goal with this remake of The Little Mermaid, if it weren’t for one important factor...
