The goal of this video is to try to make leftist spaces more welcoming and understanding of black people, so we can all collaboratively and meaningfully discuss racism and how to end it.
I also made this video as an expression of despair about how messed up the world is. The issues we’re concerned with are bigger than us. But ultimately, even if things will never be "perfect" in our lifetime, I think we can also find solace in our communities as we work together. To find that peace, I think this requires leaving behind the privilege of ignorance, and showing up for each other in meaningful ways. Ultimately, I believe that the left can be inspirational rather than doom and gloom. And I’d like to see that happen on leftube and other leftist spaces! 🌸🖤

I also made this video as an expression of despair about how messed up the world is. The issues we’re concerned with are bigger than us.
