I gave a version of this speech at sit down dinner this term. I was unable to capture it live, but I think this is a faithful rendition.

Slang often opens us up to realities hiding in plain sight. Tuning your ear to "what the kids say" is both entertaining and regenerative. "Real Ones Know" references those few who manage to pursue the real and authentic even if it makes you a bit weird. Seek the real, pay attention, watch for it...so that you, too, may become a Real One.
