We traveled to the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) in southern Utah to meet real martians, future astronauts and see if we could find alien life! It was an amazing once in a lifetime chance to get up close and personal with people who are doing research on what it would really take to survive on mars.
Day 3 of our hippy trip adventure in our 1978 VW transporter. The Mars Society of Utah runs the MDRS (Mars Desert Research Station). The station is located several miles outside of Hanksville, Utah and is normally closed to tourists and wanna be astronauts, but we were lucky enough to get a sneak peak, take a few pictures, and talk to an active researcher. This was one of Jakes lifetime bucket list items and got checked off with a giant check!
