Today’s version of “love” often means staying silent. We avoid hard conversations, we bite our tongues, and we let people stay on a path that leads to destruction, all so no one feels offended. But that’s not love. True love cares too much to watch someone walk toward death without saying a word. Scripture calls believers to speak the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable, because sin left unchallenged will destroy a soul.
Confrontation isn’t about judgment. It’s about rescue. The most loving thing we can do for someone is point them back toward holiness, toward life, toward Jesus. Real love risks being misunderstood, risks being rejected, risks the awkward moment, because eternity is at stake.
