In this video we change the timing belt, water pump, hydraulic tensioner and idler pulleys. We first have to get off the Harmonic balancer pulley or Crankshaft pulley. These are notorious for being very difficult to remove so first thing we do a little real life torque test. What does it take to remove mine with cordless power? Does the weighted socket really help? After we get that off we start draining the coolant and start disassembly for the timing belt job. I actually had to stop some recording of my job about have way through due to getting sick with COVID and just had to simply finish the job. It was more like a bad sinus infection with headache and body aches this time around so not as bad as before, but bad enough to cause me to shift direction on video to make this more of a "Tips we learned video" instead of a complete how to. I did take time while getting well to watch many, many videos already on this topic and I also share some that I thought were very well done and I hope that helps as a tip as well. I want to stress to make sure the timing belt kit you purchase is a genuine AISIN or HONDA because I am starting to see many stories of fake kits out there and the main failure point is typically the hydraulic tensioner, Scary. As we know with a interference engine that can be a disaster. I also hear of premature water pump failures. Hope you find this Tips video helpful and thanks for watching!
